Favorite Color

I got this color test from http://the-cockrells.blogspot.com/2010/02/what-does-your-fave-color-say-about-you.html who got it from another blog that I have now added to my blog reading list. Fun, but I don't know how accurate. See my notes in () all over the place.

Best Occupational Category

You're a RESEARCHER (a little bit surprised by this title)

Keywords: Independent (yes), Self-Motivated (most of the time), Reserved (not so much), Introspective (so-so), Analytical (no), and Curious (yes) Investigative types gather information, analyze and interpret data, and inquire to uncover new facts. They have a strong scientific orientation, enjoy academic or research environments and prefer self-reliant jobs. Dislikes are group projects (no way), selling, and repetitive activities.

RESEARCHER OCCUPATIONS: Suggested careers are College Professor (I would love that, but not the idea of going back to school), Physician, Psychologist, Pharmacist, Chemist, Marketing Research, Inventor, Sales Forecasting, Project Engineer, Dentist, Identifying Consumer Demand, Chiropractor, Dentist, Medical Technician, Optometrist, Research & Development Manager, Respiratory Therapist, Real Estate Appraiser, Chiropractor, Veterinarian, Geologist, Physicist, Science Teacher (if I wasn't elementary, I would teach science all day), Medical Technologist, and Author of Technical Books.

RESEARCHER WORKPLACES: Task-oriented careers where you can become absorbed in the job (yeah that's me), be original and creative (yeah), and not conform to rigid company rules will work best for you (I am not so good with rules). Unstructured organizations, for example, that allow you to sail your own ship are vital (yes!).
Suggested Researcher workplaces are universities and colleges, home office positions (wouldn't that be great), medical facilities, computer-related industries (hmmm?), scientific foundations and think tanks, research firms, and design laboratories.

2nd Best Occupational Category
You're an ORGANIZER (not surprising)

Keywords: Self-Control, Practical (to a fault), Self-Contained, Orderly (most of the time), Systematic, Precise, and Accurate
These conservative appearing, plotting-types enjoy organizing, data systems, accounting, detail, and accuracy. They often enjoy mathematics (no way) and data management activities such as accounting and investment management. Persistence and patience allows them to do detailed paperwork, operate office machines, write business reports, and make charts and graphs. (I do make a lot of help sheets, does that count)
