Meet Jake

This is Jake. He is our new, 12 week old Australian Shepherd. We got him about a 2 weeks ago. Our hopes were that it would help Claire, who had been asking about the girls so much, move on. Now she is asking, but much less often, if we can take Jake to meet Scout. He is a good dog and it has helped all of us heal. It is still hard to go into the back yard and not hear Sabel's tail wagging or to hear Claire ask when we can go visit them. But Jake is loving and smart. He aready knows how to play fetch. Plus, he lets Claire squeeze on him and carry him around. I really think Jake thinks that Claire is a puppy. He tries to snip at her and get her to play. Claire runs and runs to get him to chase her and then jumps on the bed or couch to get away. In about a week he is going to be able to jump up on the furniture and catch her. Then what is she going to do!?
