Having a Blog - The pressure

First I had to pick out an original, non-stupid, meaningful name which was harder for me than it should have been. I really like what I ended up with and I did it without getting an ulcer.

Now, I had to pick out music for my millions (okay 2) readers to listen to while reading. Music that reflects me, but won't run them off. (Hopefully bad music won't run even my mom off. Right Mom? . . .Mom?)

I have picked out 4 songs that are likable enough, yet I still feel the need to explain why I thought they were worthy to be chosen.

Song 1: The Best Day by Taylor Swift
Okay, really listen to the song and if you don't feel the need to go call your mom, call me and I will give you my mom's number. This song wraps up how I feel about my mom and inspires me to be all that for my daughter. It also has a line about my dad and brother that are true too and the tune just keeps everything up beat and light.

Song 2: I'm in a Hurry by Alabama
This song is old. It came out when I was in high school, 1993. I remember when it was released. It felt like my anthem back then and it is even more true today. "I rush and rush until life's no fun." Hope this is reminder for us all to slow day, smell the roses, bake some cupcakes and enjoy a blog or two.

Song 3: Chicken Fried by The Zac Brown Band
This song is all about things to confess: eating fried chicken, drinking beer, etc. Yet, it also remembers what is really important, love, family, faith and country. Let's face it the rest is just details.

Song 4: Hey Stephen by Taylor Swift
I really didn't want to include another Taylor Swift song, but I had my mind set on having 4 songs and this one makes me smile and remember the man in my life; my husband, Brent, who's first name is Steven. That is reason enough to include this song, right? "Look like an angel, . . . kiss you in the rain, . . . .feel this magic, . . . . no one else, mmmmm, I can't help myself." I wish he would have a song like this about me on his blog. -Like he has time to write a blog.

So that's it. Leave a comment and let me know what you think of my songs and especially if you had to mute your computer because they were that horrible or if you kept it open all day at work listening to them over and over.
