It is a TREADMILL!

Now like most women over 21, I have owned a treadmill before. It ended up being a dusty junk collector that we sold in a garage sale. Which explains why Brent was adamantly opposed to us buying another one. My argument was not based on my past experience with the treadmill, but my current habit of walking at night and riding the bike. Since January I have been consistently riding the bike and walking 3-5 times a week. Plus Brent couldn't turn down a free one.
I had great intentions of getting up yesterday, the first Monday back to school after Spring Break , at 5:00 to use the treadmill. If you believe that I did that, I am sorry, but I failed you. I did, however, walk/jog for 40 minutes yesterday after school. I love it! It is more motivating than walking outside because it counts the calories burned, distance, etc. Plus since I can walk inside Claire can play. Before if I walked outside, I had to either wait until Claire was in bed and in was dark, or take her with me on her bike. I know I am just used to the bike, but the treadmill seemed like a better work out. It got my heart rate up faster and was easier to push myself.
I have started tossing around the idea of signing up for the Step Out for Diabetes 5k fundraiser this fall. I would need to put together a team and as a team raise at least $500. If you are interested, let me know! I am confident that I can walk the 5k, but I would like to be able to run it!
